Job Opportunity: Lead Business Development Engineer at GPV

Are you looking to Accomplish more in your career? GPV, a global customer-driven Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company, is seeking a Lead Business Development Engineer to join the team in Kochchikade.

About the Role

As a Lead Business Development Engineer, your primary function is to manage end-to-end RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities, acting as the key technical and commercial interface for data validation, costing, and proposal submission. You will transform customer requirements into accurate, profitable quotations and support the acquisition of new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • RFQ Management: Manage RFQ timelines, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and quotation tracking.

  • Technical Review: Review BOMs, schematics, Gerber files, drawings, test specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Risk & Cost Analysis: Identify manufacturing risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Costing Models: Prepare and validate costing models that cover materials, manufacturing, testing, logistics, and NRE costs.

  • System Integrity: Ensure pricing accuracy and data integrity across ERP, Luminovo, and related business systems.

  • Strategic Reporting: Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and reports to support business decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Drive data governance activities, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, and Account Management teams.

Job requirements

  1. Education: BSc. in Electronic, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field.

  2. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of work experience with proven success in business development or RFQ management within an electronics or industrial manufacturing environment.

  3. Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with quotation tools (like Luminovo) and ERP systems.

  4. Data Analytics: Exposure to reporting automation, Power BI, or digital transformation projects.

  5. Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication, and the ability to manage stakeholders across various functions.
